Today is going to be a great day!
Why?
Because I said so!
Attitude is 90% of the battle. I’m not sure where I heard that, but I believe it is true. I often cannot control my circumstances, my health battles, my environment, but I can chose how I react to them with my attitude.
Are you a person who looks upon the blessings or the troubles? So often the troubles are totally beyond our control. They are facts and realities. So deal with them. But choose your attitude carefully. For your attitude will either empower you or destroy you. While there is a medical depression, far too many people choose depression when faced with Life’s troubles.
Each day we bring an attitude. We can bring a moody attitude and have a depressing day. We can bring a grouchy attitude and irritate our coworkers and customers and family. Or we can bring a sunny, playful, cheerful attitude and have a great day. We can choose the kind of day we will have. Think about it. As long as we are going to be alive we might as well have the best day we can have.
Remember: whatever your attitude at the moment, it is the one you are presently choosing.
Attitude is adhesive; the choices we make regarding our state of mind invariably impact those around us. There are days we wake in a rush, haphazardly slap on some attitude, and hustle out the door. Perhaps we’ve chosen hurried, indifferent, skeptical, defeated. Drama ensues, things go awry and take more time that we have. We limp home late, exhausted. Imagine instead what would happen had we intentionally selected ready, interested, optimistic, successful. Interaction is smooth, collaboration high, and we smile at the end of the day, realizing we deserve applause for a job well done.
“The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.” – Charles R. Swindoll
When is the last time you seriously stopped and thanked God for His blessings in your daily life?
