PSALM 34:17-19
34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

I don’t remember a time when I have known so many people who are going through endless tragedies in their lives. The list becomes longer every day. Each of these people are going through a time of testing. God never puts upon us more that we can bear. Each time something comes our way, it is how we respond that matters most.

I have taught and thought that I was strong in these times. But, lately, I have been shown that my strength depends completely on how I walk through the time of testing. God’s Word says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness; most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmitites that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong

God has reminded me that I can be only as strong as I am on my own. And, I remember now that that is not good enough. BUT, if I turn to Him, His grace is sufficient. He has proven this over and over in my life and yet sometimes, I STILL forget. All I need to ever do, is put out my hand. His hand is waiting to take mine and walk me through whatever it is that weakens me. It is in Him that I draw my strength. It is in Him that my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Praise God, through Jesus Christ. Take PLEASURE in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ sake! God’s Word says TAKE PLEASURE……………FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN AM I STRONG.

THANK YOU, LORD, for loving us all so much, that You send Your Strength to get us through. Thy grace is indeed sufficient.
